*Scroll to the bottom to sign-up. Descriptions of the various areas to help are listed below.
We will come together to mourn the loss of Terri Fryman, alongside her family. Visitation for Terri will take place at 9:30am on Saturday, April 5th. The Celebration of Life will take place at noon, and the meal for the family and friends will begin about 1:15pm. For the meal, we need volunteers to help serve in the following areas:
***Spots are filled.*** SETUP TABLES AND CHAIRS: This would include taking down the current tables and chairs and setting up 10 8ft rectangle tables with 8 chairs per table in the Hall by Saturday morning. Black, flannel-backed tablecloths should be placed on each table along with flowers, and salt and pepper shakers. (All located in The Hall cabinetry.) [Name(s) of those who have signed up so far: Holly Finnarn, Chris Lachat, Mark Howell, Marnelise van der Walt]
***Spots are filled*** PROVIDE DRINKS FOR THE MEAL: This would include bringing in 3 jugs of lemonade, unsweet tea, and sweet tea by Saturday morning. Alternatively, the powder drink mixes may be purchased. [Name(s) of those who have signed up so far: Amanda Hines]
PROVIDE A DESSERT FOR THE MEAL: This would include bringing in a dessert you baked or bought by Saturday morning. The family bought enough food for 65 people so we will need multiple volunteers for this area. At least one sugar-free dessert would be great! [Name(s) of those who have signed up so far: Cathy Cornell-brownies, Nikki Gilmore-cookies, Holly Finnarn-brownies or pie, Tina Smith-pie, Ginny Bertram-brownies, Didi Howell-sugar & gluten free brownies, Barb Lachat-cupcakes, Helen Miller-Apple pie & another pie]
***Spots are filled.*** PICK-UP THE FOOD: This would include showing up to Beanz Buttercream Bakery and Eatery between 11:30 and 11:45am to pick-up the food that morning. You could load food into your trunk (easiest) or roll carts back and forth from the kitchen. Place all warm food in the large oven to stay warm. (No need to turn oven on.) All cold food can go into the fridge. [Names of those who have signed up so far: Brandon Ervin, Kelsey Ervin]
***Spots are filled.*** SERVE THE MEAL TO THE FAMILY: These volunteers will help prepare the serving line, pour drinks, plate food, and plate up desserts. These volunteers should show up about 11:30am (to see the service) or 12:30pm (if you are okay with watching service from The Hall) and expect to stay until 2:30pm. We will need multiple volunteers for this area. [Names of those who have signed up so far: Cathy Cornell, Michele Good, Holly Finnarn, Tina Smith, Ginny Bertram, Helen Miller, Marnelise van der Walt]
***Spots are filled.*** CLEAN-UP AFTER THE MEAL: This would include wiping down all the tables, rolling up the tablecloths, putting all the tables and chairs away and taking out any trash. These volunteers can show up at 2:30pm or later. The Hall should be empty after clean-up so our custodians can clean the floor thoroughly. [Names of those who have signed up so far: Cathy Cornell, Michele Good, Holly Finnarn, Tina Smith, Ginny Bertram, Jane Tester, Helen Miller]
