April 2024 Prayer Updates:

04/29/2024: Tiffany Conley gave birth to Noah Allen Fennig on Sunday, April 28 at 1:56am. He weighed 9lbs. 9oz. Your prayers for Noah, Mama and the family are appreciated!

04/24/2024: Please be in prayer for Don Boyer, as well. He is currently in the hospital with congestive heart failure. Your prayers for him and the family are appreciated. 

04/24/2024: Please be in prayer for Tish Shepherd's son, Paul E Hodson II. He is working hard to join the military. He has conquered a lot of his goals already. However, he still has some hurdles to overcome. Please pray that he is able to reach his goal weight and to keep pushing forward with any health issues that may be an issue. 

04/24/2024: Please be in prayer for Didi Howell. She has been unable to carry Sammy around for the past week due to an injury that occurred while working out. Please be in prayer that her body would heal quickly.

04/16/2024: Please keep Terri Fryman in your prayers today. She had a reaction to last week's treatment. Pray that her body responds well to this week's injection.

04/14/2024: Terri Fryman was taken to the ER for a reaction to her cancer treatment last week. She is currently at The James in Columbus. Please be in prayer for her. They said it is not urgent, but the doctors wanted to monitor it closely and quickly. 

04/08/2024: Please pray for the Hines family as they mourn the loss of Amanda's grandmother, LaRose Boyer. The funeral will be Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church at 10am.

04/06/2024: PRAYER PRAISE! The surgery went well for Missy Riethman’s younger cousin. He is now home, recovery has begun, and it is going well. Thank you for your prayers!

04/05/2024: PRAYER PRAISE! As you may remember, Jim Fryman was waiting for test results of his own. His hematologist says no treatment needed at this time, just monitoring.

04/03/2024: A younger cousin of Missy Riethman is scheduled for an urgent surgery tomorrow. Your prayers are much appreciated for the young boy and his parents.

04/03/2024: Please keep Jenna Gilman in your prayers. She has had chronic nose bleeds for the last couple days resulting in multiple doctor and hospital visits.

03/26/2024: Terri Fryman will begin a new treatment regimen today at OSU for a recurrence of cancer. Jim is waiting for test results regarding health issues. They would appreciate your prayers.

03/25/2024: Ted and Holly Finnarn would like you to pray for their friend, Eric Hussey, as he is scheduled to have back surgery tomorrow at MVH in Dayton.

03/23/2024: Gloria Horner had a brief visit to Wayne Hospital, but is now back home. Please pray for her well being, and that her new medications would work as intended!

03/21/2023: Please continue to pray for Jack and Gloria Horner. Strength and mobility are becoming more significant challenges every day. Your prayers are appreciated!

03/17/2023: From Howell's: Dear Church Family,

Samuel had a tongue tie that was causing occasional gagging & choking. He had a procedure last Thursday to remove some tissue under his tongue. Now we must massage that area (several times a day for a month) to prevent the tissue from growing back. Please pray the following:

 -That there will be no scarring and complete release for his tongue to move like it should.

 -That he will learn how to use his tongue muscles, so he won’t: gag himself anymore- learn to swallow his milk better without gagging- & learn to eat someday without choking or gagging. 

 -That we can help him learn how to stick his tongue out so that it extends fully. This will help prevent speech impediments;)

03/17/2024: Your continued prayers for those recovering from the destruction the storms left behind are greatly appreciated. Specifically, we lift up the Haviza's neighbors in Winchester, IN who lost their homes. We also lift up the parents of young children in our community who lost their homes and are doing their best to stay calm and be there for their children in this new season filled with stress and unknowns. Strengthen them, Lord. Be their rock and comfort.

02/23/2024: Please be praying for Dale and Anna Lee Dickerson as their grandson, Jordan Bailey, passed away unexpectedly. Your specific prayers for Jordan's mom, Sarah Cline, brother, Zach Bailey, and sister, Liz Brunson are appreciated as well. Jordan was 26 years old with children of his own. The whole family is really grieving right now. Your prayers are needed.

02/21/2024: Please be in prayer for Lindsey Rickman, niece to Tina and Kurt Smith and mother of two. She is having brain surgery on Feb 28.  She was in an accident a few years ago and some things need to be repaired.  Please pray for a full recovery.

02/20/2024: Please pray for Didi's grandfather, Norb. He had a stroke. He is doing ok, but he has paralysis on the right side of his body, and he isn’t able to speak. So just very weak and frustrated since he can’t communicate, but very grateful it wasn’t worse. Please pray for the family, Norb is Chris Lachat's father. And now they’re trying to figure out what to do with Norb’s wife, Rose. She has Alzheimer's and can’t be alone. 

02/15/2024: Please keep the Finnarn family in your prayers. Ted’s sister, Janis Wells, passed away Tuesday.  Services will take place Monday, February 26 at Zechar Bailey.

January 2024 Prayer Updates:

01/22/2024: Sandra Jean Brawley, age 87, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Brethren Retirement Community. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 3:00 PM, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. A visitation for Sandra will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio 45331. A burial will occur at Silent Home Cemetery, Reynoldsburg, OH at a later date. 

01/21/2024: Please keep Elaine Hawley (and Dan) in your prayers. She goes in for total knee replacement surgery tomorrow just after 1pm. Your prayers are appreciated! 

01/17/2023: Please be in prayer for Mark Howell's grandma, Karen. She fell and is at the hospital recovering. She already has many health issues and has trouble getting around. And her husband, Jim, has a hard time caring for her.

01/11/2024: Baby Noah Sheldon was admitted to the hospital today. He can be better treated for his symptoms there. Your continued prayers as he fights off RSV are appreciated.

12/07/2023: Please keep Betty Grooms and her family in your prayers. She is currently in hospice care at Wayne. 

12/07/2023: Prayers for Tiffany Conley are appreciated! Pray that she can make it through the round ligament pains and headaches she has been having with this pregnancy.

12/06/2023: Chastity Westfall, Tina Smith's daughter, was told she is cancer free! This has been our prayer, but nobody thought it would happen this soon. PRAISE THE LORD!

November 2033 Prayer Requests:

11/28/2023: Samuel Howell is going to Children’s on Thursday to check how he’s doing with weight gain & malnutrition. They are taking more tests to see if he’s better now. Please pray that he is better. And pray for Didi that she would not be anxious about it. Update: The results were wonderful! He is looking good!

11/28/2023: Inara Howell has a painful rash under her arms that is getting increasingly worse. Please pray someone can help figure it out to give her relief and healing.

11/08/2023: Didi is needing to switch Sammy to formula to help him gain weight quickly. Please be praying that he takes to it well and gains the weight needed!

11/06/2023: Please pray for Sammy Howell. He'll be seeing a gastroenterologist tomorrow to look into his weight gain. There isn't much concern but prayers are appreciated. 

11/06/2023: Please pray for Lester Trittschuh, Phyllis’ brother-in-law. He is currently struggling with pneumonia and other health issues.
